How do I set up my mom's or dad's phone?

On your own iPhone, open GrammyFone and choose "Someone in my family". Tap +, enter their name, and add the people they call. Then tap "Send to their phone" and send the link. On their iPhone, install GrammyFone, open the link, and choose "Me".

The link doesn't open on their phone

Make sure GrammyFone is installed on their phone first and that they are signed in to iCloud (Settings, their name at the top). Then open the link again from Messages or Mail.

My changes don't show up on their phone

Both phones need an internet connection and iCloud. Changes usually arrive within a minute; pulling down on the list refreshes it. If it still doesn't update, open GrammyFone on their phone once.

How do emergency alerts work?

When they press Emergency, GrammyFone calls the emergency number and saves an alert with the time and, if allowed, the location. Family members connected to that phone get a notification and can open the location in Maps. Allow notifications for GrammyFone on your phone, and location for GrammyFone on theirs.

Can I change the emergency number?

Yes. It is filled in for your region, and you can change it in the phone setup.

How do I stop them opening settings by accident?

On the big-button screen, settings only open when the gear button is held down, not tapped.

I bought GrammyFone Family but it isn't unlocked

Open Settings in GrammyFone and tap "Restore purchase". Purchases are shared with your Family Sharing group. Refunds and billing are handled by Apple.

How do I stop sharing a phone?

Open the phone setup and tap "Stop sharing", or delete the setup. It disappears from the phones it was sent to.
